Back to Home
I rolled my eyes at the phrase floral soul for about three seconds, then remembered who we’re dealing with. Liquides Imaginaires rarely does literal. Âme de Fleur lands as the third act in the house’s Eaux de l’âme series, following Beauté du Diable and Âme du Coeur. That trio title sets expectations: incense of ideas, not just pretty petals.
If you’ve worn this brand, you know the ritual. There is always a story first - a mood that makes you slow down before you spray. Beauté du Diable flirted with temptation, Âme du Coeur pressed a palm to the chest. Âme de Fleur reads like a clean cut pivot: the soul of a flower, which sounds tame until you remember flowers can be narcotic, feral, or strangely cold. If this closes the arc, I’m expecting contrast over comfort.
I haven’t sampled it yet, so no note-dumping cosplay here. What I can say is this house loves structure and shadow. Think of how they turned rose into iron and champagne in Dom Rosa, or made wine fumes feel ceremonial in Bloody Wood. When they say fleur, they rarely mean corsage. My bet - and it is a bet - is a floral dressed in texture, maybe mineral or airy, a soul more than a stem.
For collectors, a finale matters. Triptychs are baked into Liquides Imaginaires DNA, and finishing a set isn’t just shelf symmetry. You get a complete thought. If you vibed with the tension of Beauté du Diable but wanted a gentler landing, or if Âme du Coeur felt intimate yet unfinished, Âme de Fleur could be the clarifying whisper at the end.
Practical notes before you blind buy anything niche: this house projects intention. Wear on skin, not a card. Give it a full hour, preferably outdoors once and indoors once. Their compositions tend to settle into unexpected spaces that reward patience.
New year, new floral sounds boring. Coming from Liquides Imaginaires, it sounds like a slightly dangerous mirror. I’ll update once I’ve lived with Âme de Fleur for a week - wrists, scarf, the inside of a blazer. If the soul really blooms, it should cling to fabric like a memory.
