Confession from a cherry cynic: I usually brace for sticky when I see a cherry note. Then New Notes teamed up with Jovoy Paris and uncorked Cherry Prosecco (2025), and the first spritz felt like a cork flying across the room. This isn’t dessert in a bottle. It is bubbles, bite, and a glossy red grin.

The opening lands with a bright cherry sparkle, more spritz than syrup. Think prosecco foam and a chilled cherry bellini rather than maraschino in heavy syrup. On my skin, there is an airy fizz that reads almost mineral, the kind of pop you get from aldehydic sparkle and citrus peel. It is light hearted without being lightweight, the kind of top that makes you want a second spray just to watch it dance again.

The heart softens into a smooth cherry accord with a sheer floral haze, not the powdery bouquet you might fear but something clean and luminous. The cherry never turns cough drop red, and it resists that medicinal twang that can torpedo a good time. The drydown glides into pale woods and silky musks with a soft, creamy purr that keeps the effervescence around the edges. Longevity is solid at 6 to 8 hours with easy, attractive projection. It wears like a day party that politely extends into sundown.

Context matters. We’ve lived with cherry heavies like Tom Ford Lost Cherry, the smoky-sweet tease of BDK Rouge Smoking, the toasted liquor vibe of Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry, and the lacquered richness of Guerlain Cherry Oud. Cherry Prosecco tilts the axis. It trades syrup for sparkle, density for lift, and slips into that rare niche pocket where fun meets polish. If Mancera Wild Cherry felt too neon for your office and your palate, this is the fresher pour.

As a collaboration, New Notes brings Italian fizz and modern texture, while Jovoy Paris contributes that boutique sense of edit and wearability. The result is a cherry you can actually reach for year round. Brunch, rooftop, gallery opening, quick airport spritz before a short flight, it fits.

Is it groundbreaking? No. Is it the most joyful cherry launch I have tried in ages? Absolutely. Cherry Prosecco (2025) is proof that cherry does not need to be loud to be memorable. It just needs to pop.
