Back to Home

I have a soft spot for scents that whisper while everyone else is screaming sugar and neon musks. So when Molton Brown announced Tea Ceremony, a unisex collection designed to evoke a quiet moment, my tea-stained heart sat up straight. If this house brings its polished textures to tea, we might finally get a fragrance that speaks in lowercase and still commands the room.

The tea category is having a second spring. We had the pioneers like Bulgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert and the gourmand smoke of L’Artisan Parfumeur Tea for Two. Then came a wave of contemporary takes, from the latte-creaminess of Maison Margiela Replica Matcha Meditation to the airy leaf of Le Labo Thé Matcha 26, the crisp sip of Jo Malone London Earl Grey & Cucumber, and the crystalline clarity of KILIAN Paris Imperial Tea. Tea Ceremony lands right in that conversation, but with that inherently British MB polish that tends to favor clean lines and tactile finishing.

I have not worn it yet, but the brief promises stillness rather than sleepy. If Molton Brown is smart, they will anchor the leaves with a cool citrus twang and soft woods, keep sweetness on a short leash, and let the steam do the talking. The word collection suggests we will see the usual MB suite, likely an eau de parfum plus the brand’s bath and body formats. That matters, because tea really shines in shower gel and lotion where the dewiness stays true.

How I plan to wear it:

  • Office days, 3 sprays to the scarf for a personal cloud that does not bulldoze a meeting.
  • Post-workout reset, layered with Milk Musk for extra hush.
  • Weekend errands, paired with Orange & Bergamot body wash for a fresh peel over the leaves.
  • Travel, as an anti-jet-lag skin scent that keeps me sharp without shouting.

If you like your tea smoky and spiced, keep Tea for Two close. If you crave clean clarity and gentle lift, pencil in Tea Ceremony. I am ready for a scent that makes quiet feel modern, not muted. If Molton Brown bottles that mood, this could be the calmest flex of the season.
