If the gray of January has teeth, Bronze Goddess Eau de Parfum is the SPF-glossed grin that bites back. Every year I tell myself I’m immune, and every year a single spritz makes me reach for imaginary sunglasses.

This season’s Estée Lauder release leans richer on skin. The opening hits with that unmistakable monoi vibe, a plush tiare petal effect folded into coconut that reads bronzed, not bakery. Five minutes in, the sweetness eases and the scent pivots to warm skin after an hour in the sun. Amber gives a salted glow, and the sandalwood-vanilla base wraps it all in a satin beach towel instead of a sticky syrup. The vibe is resort, but make it polished.

On my wrist, projection stays intimate to arm’s length, which I prefer for a beach style perfume. Longevity sits solidly in the 6 to 8 hour pocket, with the vanilla-sandalwood hum lingering into the evening. If you crave a loud white floral or a photorealistic sunscreen blast, this is more refined than that. If you hate coconut, keep walking. But if you’ve always wanted that “vacation filter” without smelling like a pool snack, this nails it.

The line’s DNA is intact, yet the EDP feels less airy than past summer editions and more like a proper perfume you can wear with knitwear in February. Tiare stays front and center, the coconut is toasted rather than sugary, and the amber-sandalwood gives enough backbone to make it office friendly. It’s easy, but not lazy.

Practical bits for the planners: it comes in 10, 50, and 100 ml, and I spotted it at Bloomingdale's. Price runs from around 30 to 115 dollars, which is merciful in a world where “sunny” can cost as much as a ticket to Capri.

Bottom line, Bronze Goddess Eau de Parfum still owns the beach-in-a-bottle brief, now with better tailoring. I’ll wear it with denim and a wool blazer until the real sun shows up, then let it do what it does best on bare skin.
