If your inner gremlin ever whispered make my living room smell like a soda fountain, Anya Hindmarch just gave it a very posh megaphone. The Anya Brands collection rolls out a Coca Cola Candle, flanked by Kikkoman Soy Sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup. It is high-low theater: childhood pantry icons, hand-poured in England, dressed in a leather jacket and priced at $165 for 200 g.

Let’s start with the Coca Cola Candle. Cola accords in perfumery are catnip to me. They blend citrus peel sparkle, cinnamon warmth, vanilla sweetness, and that phantom fizz that tricks your brain into hearing a pop-top. If this candle leans more effervescent citrus and spice rather than syrupy soda bayou, it could be a gleeful gourmand with grown-up polish. The leather-encased glass is beautifully done and reusable, which takes a bit of the sting out of the number on the receipt.

Then there is the curveball: Kikkoman Soy Sauce. On paper, that sounds like a dare. In a candle, though, the umami register could translate as roasted grain, molasses depth, toasted wood, and a saline wink. Think pantry noir, not spilled takeout. I can imagine it burning alongside a stack of art books, giving a room the kind of savory hum you get from a cedar cabinet with a secret.

Heinz Tomato Ketchup is the bright one in the trio. Picture tomato leaf and green stems sharpened by vinegar sparkle, sweetened with a pinch of spice. If it lands in that tart-sweet lane, it might read like a garden party with attitude. If it leans too literal, you risk hot dog stand chic. The line between clever and costume is razor thin, which is half the fun.

Is $165 ambitious for nostalgia in a leather corset? Absolutely. But the point here is not just scent. It is conversation, design, and a wink at the collective memory of sticky fingers and red caps. As a home fragrance obsessive and unapologetic gourmand lover, I am intrigued. If you collect objects that tell a story, the Coca Cola Candle is the safe bet, Kikkoman Soy Sauce is the insider pick, and Heinz Tomato Ketchup is the party trick. Choose your mischief.
